Iran: Further information: Detained human rights lawyer sentenced

Iranian human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, a mother of two children aged 10 and three, was sentenced on 9 January 2011 to 11 years in prison and has been banned from practising law and leaving the country for 20 years. She is a prisoner of conscience, held solely in connection with her work as a lawyer, who should be released immediately and unconditionally.
