‘Abd al-Haris Mohammad Madani reportedly died on 6 May 1994 apparently following torture. He was arrested on 26 April in Cairo and was taken to Qasr al-‘Aini hospital after being severely tortured at the Giza branch of the State Security Intelligence (SSI). It is not clear whether he died in hospital or in police custody.
