As Hamid Karzai is sworn in for a second term as President of Afghanistan, Amnesty International calls on the President to commit publicly to fulfilling Afghanistan’s international human rights obligations and to work towards achieving national benchmarks on governance, rule of law and human rights. As a first important step, Amnesty International calls on President Karzai to fulfil the 10-point human rights agenda outlined in this document.
